Summary:
This report documents the analysis and containment of a non-sanctioned detection device recovered during a failed independent banishment attempt in southern Quebec. The object was presented as a “field-grade aggression reader” modeled after Netherwatch’s P.K.A.D. (Psycho-Kinetic Aggression Detector). Following examination and classification, the object has been designated a Class-3 Arcano-Technological Forgery and secured in Vault Subsection 6C.
This release has been authorized for public review in accordance with Directive 7G – Controlled Disclosure of Contained Technologies.
Device Profile:
Name (Given by owner): Aggression Meter
Visual Description: Brass-cased handheld device, analog dial interface, rear glyph plate with rotating crystal core. Display emits intermittent red luminescence.
Dimensions: 19 cm x 6.5 cm x 4.3 cm
Weight: 1.15 kg
Recovered: January 18, 2025
Location: Private residence, Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, Quebec
Observed Behavior:
-
Device reacted to presence of fresh biological material, particularly blood. Reaction was misinterpreted as entity proximity.
-
No response recorded in known Demon-occupied test zones.
-
Arcane field mapping indicated unstable residue surrounding glyph plate. Reactive distortion effect noted in low light.
-
Crystal core composition included organic substrate of unknown human lineage bound with ochre and oxidized mercury.
Associated Incident:
Civilian owner [REDACTED] employed the device during an unsanctioned banishment attempt following a local possession rumor. Incorrect readings led to the misclassification of a wounded bystander as a hostile entity. The subject performed a corrupted binding ritual using altered summoning diagrams obtained from an online occult repository.
Result:
-
One civilian hospitalized due to psychological trauma.
-
One self-inflicted glyph burn and minor possession attempt.
-
Demon class involved remains unknown. Site has been sterilized.
Risk Assessment:
This unit was constructed using partial and incorrect interpretations of Netherwatch summoning and detection schematics. Several glyphs engraved into the device’s matrix are structurally incompatible with any known behavioral archetype and include an unstable derivative of the recursion glyph family. One matches a recorded distortion mark from the 1976 Belgrade Containment Breach, now cataloged in Relic Hazard Bulletin RHB-34/76 (Netherwatch Vault Office 1976).
Residual contamination risk from pseudo-spectral resonance is moderate. No further activation permitted. Device now sealed under triple warding protocols in Containment Shell 6C.
Closing Statement:
All agents and external collaborators are reminded that only sanctioned Netherwatch detection instruments – including the P.K.A.D. – are authorized for field use. Rogue-market replicas and imitation devices represent a substantial threat to public safety and mission integrity. No external manufacturer or private operator has been granted access to Netherwatch calibration systems, binding matrices, or glyph alignment data.
Any device mimicking Netherwatch design must be considered hostile until contained.
