Agents, Certain periods throughout human history have witnessed pulses of unnatural deaths through the action of global wars, pandemics, and oppression/atrocities. These periods, termed “Chaos Events” within DofSR, represent spans of extraordinary human suffering, pain, and increased rates of unnatural deaths. It is unknown whether paranormal activity provides the seed for Chaos Events, or if paranormal activity feeds from Chaos, but some alarming trends are currently being monitored by our directorate.

Further research is necessary to determine the true cause and effect. However, preliminary data generated by DofSR indicate a statistical relationship of 0.68 for increased paranormal activity above contemporary norms within -3/+5 years of initial outbreak of significant notable Chaos Events as based on the number of Netherwatch investigations since the inception of The Society.

The following are the major global (or large regional) Chaos Events being analyzed by Security & Risk (refer to attached chronology):

PANDEMICS AND PLAGUES (in millions of deaths)
GLOBAL WARS, OPPRESSION/ATROCITIES (in millions of deaths)
  1. Bubonic Plague 541-549 (100M) (12.5M/yr)

  4. Third (Bubonic) Plague 1855-1960 (15M) (3M/yr)
  5. “Spanish” Influenza 1918-1920 (100M) (50M/yr) – first documented in Kansas, USA
  6. Influenza Phases 1957-1969 (8M (0.67M/yr)
  7. HIV/AIDS Pandemic 1981-present (44M) (1M/yr)
  8. COVID-19 Pandemic 2019-present (36M) (6M/yr)

  7. Taiping Rebellion 1850-1864 (30M) (2.1M/yr)
  8. Russian Civil War/World Word I 1914-1922 (32M) (4M/yr)
  9. World War II 1939-1945 (85M) (14.17M/yr)

We note that data are lacking pre-1532, and that Netherwatch action records were noticeably unreliable in our first 250 years of service. However, the response to the Mexican Cocolizti Epidemics increased Society activity by 1056% from Society inception into our first 50 years of service.

The Directorate of Security & Risk of Netherwatch will continue to analyze data and refine our conclusions. Further data will be pushed out to Field Agents as we revise our analyses.
