Director Frost Onboard Directive

From the Desk of Director Alric Frost

Agents,

I am aware that this message will be read not only by those within our ranks, but also – inevitably – by those beyond them. That is, in fact, the point.

As of this day, April 4th, 2022, I accept the mantle of leadership as the Thirteenth Director of Netherwatch.

It is not a role I sought, nor one that I wear lightly. My predecessor stood longer than most believed a person could. She held the line with dignity, even when all dignity was stripped from the mission. Her final act was ensuring that I would be here to continue it. I will not fail that trust.

With this transition comes change. Effective immediately, Netherwatch will establish and maintain a digital presence. This will take the form of a public-facing archive, disguised in tone and structure as a “fictional” project. A website, yes – but one curated with intention. The logic is simple: those who know the truth will recognize it. Those who do not will call it fantasy. The world has trained itself to laugh at warnings. That is their weakness. It will not be ours.

For too long we have hoarded knowledge in halls of brick and vaults of silence. But the war has changed. The shadows stretch further. There are still those seeking to assist the Demons in breaching the veil. Evil is adapting – and so must we. What we share will be measured, symbolic, and steeped in obfuscation. But it will be shared. Logs, fragments, field notes, information gleaned from past missions, whatever we deem necessary. What’s recognized will become warning.

I put great thought into what advice I could provide to you in my first missive. I can think of none better than that spoken to me by my own mentor.

“It is not our light that must be seen. Only our results.”

Remain vigilant. This directive is not permission for sloppiness. It is a weapon, no different than a blade or a ward. Wield it wisely.
